FlatHomes Hits the Trails for Charity: Our Gower Peninsula Challenge 🐾

We are thrilled to share that FlatHomes Property Services Ltd recently completed a heartfelt fundraising walk across the Gower Peninsula in support of The Rescue Hotel / Cardiff Dog Home.

Why We Walked

Every year, The Rescue Hotel supports hundreds of dogs that arrive at Cardiff Dog Home—many are stray, abandoned, or in need of urgent care. Their mission is a vital lifeline for our four-legged friends, focusing on:

  • Providing veterinary treatment and essential care.
  • Supplying food, comfort, and enrichment.
  • Offering training and rehabilitation.
  • Upgrading facilities to ensure safe, loving stays.

As a team, we wanted to go beyond just donating. We wanted to lend our energy, raise awareness, and inspire community support.

The Walk: Rhosilli to Oxwich Bay

On 13 September 2025, our nine-strong FlatHomes team laced up their boots and set off from Rhosilli. We wound through challenging coastal paths, past dramatic sea views, hidden coves, and coastal cliffs, before finishing at Oxwich Bay.

It wasn’t easy. There were steep climbs and tricky terrain, but each time a teammate cheered another on, or a passerby gave encouragement, our spirits were lifted. By the end, we not only achieved our goal. We also shared fewer limits, more laughter, and a deeper bond as a team.

We Did It — Thanks to You ❤️

Because of the extraordinary generosity of supporters like you, we are overjoyed to announce the total raised so far:

£2,282.00

These funds will go directly toward caring for dogs in desperate need, covering vet bills, food, facility improvements, and enrichment. Every single donation has made a difference.

What’s Next?

Our fundraising page is still open! If you haven't yet donated or want to help us push this total even higher, here is how you can make an immediate impact:

Donate via our JustGiving page

  • Share the campaign link with your friends, family, and on social media.
  • Stay connected - we’ll be posting photos and stories from the walk soon!

Together, we’ve helped shine a light on the dedication of The Rescue Hotel. Let’s keep walking, giving, and making a difference, one paw at a time. 🐶✨
