Major Achievement: Ayesha is Now a Qualified In-House EPC Assessor!

Our Project & Maintenance Co-ordinator is bringing a new level of compliance expertise directly to our landlord clients.

Introducing Our New DEA

We're thrilled to announce that Ayesha, our fantastic Project & Maintenance Co-ordinator, has successfully completed her training and examinations to become a fully qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA). This is a huge benefit to our landlords and further enhances the expertise within the FlatHomes team!

What does this mean for our clients?

An EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) is mandatory for every rented property. By having Ayesha qualified in-house, we can offer:

  • Faster Turnaround: No need to rely on external assessors for scheduling.
  • Integrated Advice: Ayesha already oversees maintenance and has a BSc in Building Surveying. Her EPC recommendations are immediately integrated into your property's maintenance and improvement plans.
  • Guaranteed Compliance: Consistent, expert assessments ensure your properties meet all legal requirements.

Compliance and Future-Proofing

With increasing regulations focused on energy efficiency, having a knowledgeable in-house assessor is vital. Ayesha not only provides the required certificate but also offers clear, practical advice on improving your property's rating to help future-proof your investment.

Why Your EPC Matters More Than Ever

The EPC rating assesses a property's energy efficiency (A is best, G is worst). Having a good rating is crucial for:

  • Legal Compliance: Ensuring you can legally let your property under current legislation.
  • Tenant Attraction: Energy efficient homes are highly desirable to tenants, often leading to lower void periods.
  • Investment Planning: Identifying cost-effective upgrades now can save significant hassle and expense down the line.

Need an EPC renewal or looking to understand your property’s energy rating better? We can help!
