Welsh Government recently published a Green Paper: A call for evidence on securing a path towards Adequate Housing – including Fair Rents and Affordability.
The Renting Homes (Wales) Act, which has been described as the biggest change in housing law in Wales, has been postponed for nearly 6 months from the original date of 15th July to a new date of December 1st.
Significant change to the private rented sector will be implemented by the Welsh Government on 15 July 2022.
A new online system to allow rent payments, from tenants in receipt of Universal Credit, to be paid directly to private landlords has been launched by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
